The National Offshore Wind Research and Development Consortium (NOWRDC) is dedicated to propelling the offshore wind industry through strategic innovation and impactful funding.
Our focus is on uniting offshore wind developers, state governments, Tier I and II supply chain companies, consultancies, and academic institutions to drive the development and deployment of pioneering offshore wind technologies.
By becoming a member, you can:
- Steer NOWRDC’s R&D agenda to respond to challenges your organization is facing with offshore wind, which can include:
- Shaping solicitation topic areas
- Scoring project proposals
- Approving NOWRDC’s award selections
- Shaping NOWRDC’s Roadmap, updated approximately every 2 years
- Participate in and lead NOWRDC’s member-only committees, which feature:
- Opportunities to network with NOWRDC’s member industry and government organizations
- Technical workshops that chart paths forward for specific, high-priority challenges within offshore wind
- Regular updates on key technical and LCOE-related findings arising from NOWRDC’s active R&D project portfolio
- Gain member-exclusive insight into NOWRDC’s R&D project portfolio, which includes:
- Access to confidential project reports and presentations, sharing key technical findings
- Nominating staff to serve on project advisory boards, which meet quarterly
- The ability to steer projects to better serve industry needs
