Awardee:

Anduril Industries Inc.

Start Date:

Q2, 2023

Technical Challenge Area:

O&M and Safety

Completion Date:

N/A (Currently Underway)

Synopsis:

During this project, the Contractor, Anduril Industries, Inc., and Subcontractor, Metron will develop new AUV algorithms for cable anomaly detection, fully integrate the necessary geophysical sensor suite hardware and software into the DIVE-LD vehicle, perform initial testing, and run a final demonstration on the Point Judith-to-Block Island cable.

Target Outcomes:

1
The final demonstration will result in a data set that contains the full wide-coverage survey of the cable route (both side scan sonar imagery and bathymetry).
2
Additionally close up images of the pre-identified scour protection and any anomalies detected in the widecoverage pass will be documented and analyzed.
3
Data collected during this demonstration will be made publicly available in a cloud and shared with the offshore wind community.
