Awardee:

Offshore Wind Consultants (OWC)

Start Date:

Q1, 2022

Technical Challenge Area:

Electrical Power Systems

Completion Date:

Q4, 2023

Synopsis:

The aim of the proposed study is to quantify and assess the benefits and risks of a shared landfall and onshore infrastructure concept to co-locate transmission cables from multiple offshore wind projects. This proposal provides a stepwise pathway to coordinate industry stakeholders' challenges and insights and develop a design concept.

Target Outcomes:

1
Develop a design for co-locating transmission cables from multiple offshore wind projects.
2
Include key stakeholder input at multiple points in the project, concluding the project with a stakeholder workshop to communicate results.
